The Practicing Church in Shoreline, Washington, seeks to live out its faith in the neighborhood

Updated: 1 day ago

In a time when many churches compete for attention with slick services and sprawling campuses, The Rev. Jessica Ketola is quietly reimagining what it means to be the church. Rooted in her Shoreline, Washington, neighborhood, Ketola has transformed her living room into a hub of hospitality, faith, and community action. What began in 2017 as a small group of believers seeking a more authentic way to live out their faith has grown into The Practicing Church—a hyper-local, radically relational congregation committed to loving their neighbors and seeking the flourishing of their neighborhood. This is not church as usual. This is church, practiced.
